---

Okay, I’m back in my job-hunting era and because I know how stressful job hunting can be, I wanted to share something I’ve been doing that has made the whole process a LOT easier for me.
How I find jobs using Claude. I actually have three methods.
METHOD 1: FINDING JOBS ON LINKEDIN
This one works best if you’re a Claude Pro user because I make use of the Claude extension and Claude Dispatch/Cowork, which connects across my devices.
First, download the Claude Chrome extension.
And please, PIN THE EXTENSION.

I cannot stress this enough. Pin it to your browser so you can access it easily.
Then I open LinkedIn on my laptop.
I click on my Claude extension, paste in my job-search prompt, and tell it exactly what I want.
For example:
“Find me all remote jobs posted within the last 24–48 hours that match my portfolio and experience. (I attach my portfolio)
I’m based in Nigeria, so only show me opportunities that allow me to work remotely from Nigeria without requiring relocation or a work visa.
Prioritize companies hiring across Tier 1 countries such as the US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.
Match the jobs against my experience in content marketing, digital marketing, social media, SEO, copywriting, content strategy, SaaS, AI, tech, email marketing, brand storytelling, and community building.
For every relevant role, give me the job title, company, posting date, salary if available, remote eligibility, why I’m a match, and the application link.
Only show jobs posted within the last 48 hours.”
Obviously, you can make the prompt as specific as you want.
The important thing is that I’m not just telling it:
“Find me content jobs.”
I’m giving it my actual experience, skills, location, preferred markets, remote requirements, and the kind of roles I want.
Then Claude goes through LinkedIn for me and compiles the jobs that match.
And this is where it gets really interesting.
If I want to take it a step further, I can tell it:
“Apply to the jobs that I’m eligible for and that have Easy Apply.”
Because my resume and other information are already available to it, it can take care of the repetitive parts of the application process.
For applications it can’t complete on its own, I can simply tell it to create a list of the jobs I need to manually apply for and compile it all into a doc.
So instead of spending hours searching LinkedIn, opening 50 tabs, checking whether I qualify, and then forgetting which ones I’ve applied to...
I get a list.
Applied.
Not applied.
Needs manual application.
Next.
METHOD 2: FINDING JOBS ACROSS THE INTERNET
This one isn't limited to LinkedIn.
I basically open a new tab in Google Chrome, open the Claude extension, and paste the same job-search prompt.
But this time, I tell it to search the internet.
So instead of just looking through LinkedIn, it searches for relevant opportunities across job boards, company career pages, remote job sites, and other places where companies are hiring.
Again, I give it the same criteria:
My experience.
My portfolio.
The roles I want.
My preferred industries.
The countries I want to target.
The fact that I’m based in Nigeria.
And most importantly:
I need jobs that allow me to work from Nigeria without needing a visa or relocation.
This part is VERY important because “remote” does not automatically mean “remote from anywhere.”
A company can say a job is remote and still mean:
Remote within the US.
Remote within the UK.
Remote within the EU.
Remote, but you need existing work authorization.
So I specifically tell Cluely to verify that.
Then it searches, filters everything down, and gives me the opportunities that actually make sense.
AND THEN I CAN TAKE IT EVEN FURTHER
Because Claude is connected to my other tools, I can tell it what I want to do with the information after it finds the jobs.
For example:
“Compile all the jobs you found into a Google sheet with the job title, company, salary, location, eligibility, job description, and application link.”
And it can organize everything for me.
So my job search basically becomes:
Search → filter → verify → organize → apply.
Instead of:
Search → scroll → open 17 tabs → get distracted → forget which job I liked → apply to one → close laptop.
And honestly after I get the list of jobs, I focus on parts that need me yunno.
- Writing the good cover letter.
- Tweaking your portfolio.
- Preparing for the interview.
- Networking.
And, you know...getting hired.
So if you're currently job hunting, try this.
METHOD 3: WHEN I’M NOT AT MY LAPTOP
This is where Claude dispatch comes in.
If I’m outside or working from my phone, I can send Claude the same job-search instructions from my phone.
As long as my laptop is open and connected, it can go through the search on my laptop, find the latest relevant jobs, compile the results, and send them back so I can access everything from my phone.
So I can literally be outside, open my phone, see the jobs Claude found, and start applying without needing to be at home with my laptop.
THAT'S IT.
I've included a more detailed prompt that I use below so you can copy, paste, and tweak them for yourself.
Just remember to replace my experience, skills, location, industries, and job preferences with your own.
Happy job hunting.
PROMPT:
"Act as my Remote Job Researcher and Talent Scout.
I am a Nigeria-based Content & Marketing Specialist with 5+ years of experience across content marketing, digital marketing, social media, SEO, copywriting, content strategy, brand storytelling, community building, email marketing, and content creation.
My strongest areas include:
- Content Marketing
- Content Strategy
- Digital Marketing
- Social Media Marketing/Management
- SEO Content
- SEO Strategy
- Copywriting
- Brand Storytelling
- SaaS/Tech Content
- AI/Tech Marketing
- Email Marketing
- Community Marketing
- Content Operations
- Content Creation
- Marketing Strategy
- Blog/Editorial Management
- Go-to-Market/content support
- B2B and B2C marketing
I have experience working with tech, SaaS, AI, health & wellness, beauty, lifestyle, travel, and other brands.
I am looking specifically for FULLY REMOTE employment opportunities that I can apply for and work from Nigeria.
SEARCH CRITERIA
1. JOB RECENCY
Only include jobs that were posted within the LAST 48 HOURS from the exact time you conduct the search.
Do NOT include:
- Jobs posted more than 48 hours ago
- “Reposted” jobs where the original posting is older than 48 hours
- Jobs where the posting date cannot reasonably be verified
- Generic job-aggregation pages without a clear original posting
If a job says “1 day ago,” verify the actual posting date/time where possible.
2. LOCATION / COUNTRY
Prioritize companies hiring in Tier 1 markets, especially:
- United States
- Canada
- United Kingdom
However, the company being located in one of these countries is NOT enough.
The actual role must explicitly allow someone to work remotely from Nigeria OR explicitly state that the role is:
- Worldwide
- Global
- International
- EMEA
- Africa
- Europe/Africa
- Remote anywhere
- Remote across multiple countries including Nigeria
3. VISA / WORK AUTHORIZATION
This is extremely important.
I am physically based in Nigeria and need jobs that allow me to work from Nigeria without relocating.
Prioritize roles that:
- Do not require relocation
- Do not require a visa
- Do not require local work authorization in the employer's country
- Allow international contractors
- Allow employees through an Employer of Record (EOR)
- Explicitly hire globally
DO NOT recommend a role simply because it says “Remote - United States” or “Remote - UK.”
If the role requires:
- US work authorization
- UK right to work
- Canadian work authorization
- EU work authorization
- Australian work rights
- Relocation
- Visa sponsorship tied to relocation
exclude it.
If work authorization is unclear, place the role in a separate “Needs Verification” section rather than presenting it as a confirmed match.
4. ROLE MATCH
Search broadly across roles that fit my actual portfolio and transferable experience.
Look for titles such as:
CONTENT
- Content Marketing Specialist
- Content Marketing Manager
- Content Strategist
- Content Specialist
- Content Lead
- Content Manager
- Editorial Manager
- Content Operations Manager
- Content Coordinator
- Content Producer
- Brand Content Manager
- Content & Communications Manager
MARKETING
- Digital Marketing Specialist
- Digital Marketing Manager
- Marketing Specialist
- Marketing Manager
- Growth Marketing Specialist
- Growth Marketing Manager
- Marketing Associate
- Marketing Coordinator
- Demand Generation Specialist
- Lifecycle Marketing Specialist
- Product Marketing Associate/Manager
- Brand Marketing Specialist
- Integrated Marketing Specialist
SEO
- SEO Content Strategist
- SEO Specialist
- SEO Content Manager
- Content SEO Manager
- SEO Writer
- Organic Growth Specialist
- Content & SEO Specialist
SOCIAL
- Social Media Manager
- Social Media Strategist
- Social Content Manager
- Social Media Specialist
- Community & Social Manager
- Community Marketing Manager
COPYWRITING
- Copywriter
- Marketing Copywriter
- Conversion Copywriter
- Content Copywriter
- B2B Copywriter
- Brand Copywriter
OTHER RELEVANT ROLES
Also identify adjacent roles where my experience gives me a realistic chance, even if the title isn't an exact match.
Do NOT include highly technical roles, software engineering roles, or jobs requiring qualifications I clearly do not have.
5. SENIORITY
Prioritize:
- Associate
- Mid-level
- Specialist
- Senior Specialist
- Manager
- Strategist
- Lead
Do not focus primarily on Director/VP/C-suite positions unless my experience genuinely makes me competitive.
6. EXPERIENCE
I have 5+ years of experience.
Do not automatically exclude jobs asking for 4–6 years if I otherwise qualify.
Also include roles asking for:
- 2–3 years
- 3–5 years
- 4–6 years
- 5+ years
Avoid roles requiring 7–10+ years unless they are unusually strong matches.
7. SALARY
Prioritize roles that disclose compensation.
Show:
- Salary range
- Currency
- Pay period
- Whether the salary appears to be location-adjusted
Prioritize opportunities with strong international compensation.
Do not exclude a good opportunity solely because salary is not disclosed.
8. COMPANY QUALITY
Prioritize:
- SaaS companies
- AI companies
- Tech startups
- B2B companies
- Remote-first companies
- VC-backed startups
- Established technology companies
- Marketing/product-led companies
- Companies with international teams
Also include smaller startups if the role is a strong fit.
9. SEARCH SOURCES
Search across multiple sources, including:
- LinkedIn Jobs
- Wellfound
- Indeed
- Otta/Welcome to the Jungle
- Remote OK
- We Work Remotely
- FlexJobs
- [Remote.co](//Remote.co)
- Himalayas
- Working Nomads
- Y Combinator jobs
- Company career pages
- Greenhouse
- Lever
- Ashby
- Workable
- Other legitimate remote-job boards
Prioritize the ORIGINAL COMPANY JOB POSTING over aggregators whenever possible.
10. VERIFICATION
For every job you return, verify as many of these as possible:
- Exact job title
- Company
- Posting date
- Remote status
- Countries eligible to work from
- Whether Nigeria is explicitly allowed
- Visa/work authorization requirement
- Employment type
- Experience requirement
- Salary
- Application URL
- Company website
- Original job-posting URL
Do not hallucinate missing information.
If Nigeria eligibility cannot be verified, clearly say:
“Remote eligibility for Nigeria: UNCONFIRMED.”
11. RANKING
Score every job from 1–10 based on:
- Portfolio/skill match: 30%
- Nigeria remote eligibility: 25%
- Seniority/experience match: 15%
- Industry/company fit: 10%
- Compensation: 10%
- Job recency: 10%
A job that is an excellent role match but DOES NOT allow someone in Nigeria should NOT receive a high overall score.
12. OUTPUT
Start with:
“BEST MATCHES”
Give me the 10–20 strongest verified opportunities.
For each opportunity provide:
[Job Title] — [Company]
- Match score: X/10
- Posted: [exact date/time if available]
- Location: [remote location]
- Can I apply from Nigeria? YES / NO / UNCONFIRMED
- Visa/work authorization: [details]
- Employment type: [Full-time/Contract/etc.]
- Experience required: [X years]
- Salary: [range]
- Why I'm a match: [2–4 concise sentences]
- Key requirements: [3–5 bullets]
- Application: [direct application link]
- Company: [official company website]
Then create:
“NEEDS VERIFICATION”
Include jobs that look highly relevant but where Nigeria eligibility or work authorization cannot be confirmed.
Then:
“EXCLUDED”
List a few strong-looking jobs you deliberately excluded and explain why, especially if they were:
- US-only
- UK-only
- EU-only
- Required local work authorization
- Required relocation
- Required visa sponsorship
- Older than 48 hours
IMPORTANT:
Do not pad the results just to reach 20 jobs.
If only 5 jobs genuinely meet all criteria, give me 5.
Accuracy is more important than quantity.
Finally, give me:
“MY TOP 5 TO APPLY TO FIRST”
Rank the five opportunities I should prioritize based on my portfolio, likelihood of being eligible from Nigeria, compensation, company quality, and competitiveness.
Use the CURRENT DATE AND TIME at the moment of the search to calculate the 48-hour window.
Be aggressive about finding opportunities, but conservative about claiming that a role is eligible for applicants in Nigeria."

- Worldwide(全球)
- Global(全球)
- International(国际)
- EMEA(欧洲、中东和非洲)
- Africa(非洲)
- Europe/Africa(欧洲/非洲)
- Remote anywhere(任何地方远程)

(Lead)
- LinkedIn Jobs
- Wellfound
- Indeed
- Otta/Welcome to the Jungle
- Remote OK
- We Work Remotely
- FlexJobs
- [Remote.co](//Remote.co)
- Himalayas
- Working Nomads
- Y Combinator jobs
- Greenhouse
- Lever
- Ashby
- Workable
(BEST MATCHES)
(NEEDS VERIFICATION)
(MY TOP 5 TO APPLY TO FIRST)
